Ried/I. Die Wintersteiger AG zeigt einmal mehr, wie wichtig eine qualitativ hochwertige Ausbildung junger Menschen für das Unternehmen ist. Heuer nahm der weltweit bekannte Maschinenhersteller 17 neue Lehrlinge auf – davon 4 Mädchen. Insgesamt stehen derzeit 53 Lehrlinge bei Wintersteiger in Ausbildung. Damit darf sich Wintersteiger auch weiterhin zu einem der größten und innovativsten Lehrausbildungsbetriebe der Region zählen.

Ried/I. Vom 30. August bis 1. September fand bereits zum dritten Mal die Winter-steiger Service- und Verleihfachmesse in der Ausstellungshalle der Zentrale in Ried im Innkreis statt. An insgesamt drei Tagen konnte Wintersteiger mit mehr als 200 Gästen aus Österreich, Deutschland, der Schweiz und Italien einen neuen Besucherrekord für sich verbuchen. Darunter befand sich auch eine Gruppe von 50 Sporthändlern aus der Schweiz, die eigens mit dem Bus angereist waren.

St. Anton / Ried. Die drei großen Sporthändler und Verleiher Intersport Arlberg, Sport Alber und Sport Jennewein – mit insgesamt 17 Filialen in der Region Arl-berg - werden ab der Wintersaison 2010/11 gemeinsam eine zentrale Service-werkstätte unter den Namen „Stanton Service Center“ betreiben. Wintersteiger liefert dafür den gesamten Service-Maschinenpark.

World market leader WINTERSTEIGER presents the new Race NC: a trend-setting, race service stone grinding machine for processing alpine, cross-country and jump skis. The first World Cup successes in cross-country skiing were achieved shortly after its market launch and industry experts are expecting further medals by using the Race NC at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Litwork Produktions GmbH from Dornbirn has been producing LUMINOSO - light-transmissive composite wood panels with maximum design appeal - since the end of 2008. The innovative product sets new standards in the timber processing industry. Prestigious design awards emphasizes the potential of LUMINOSO as do numerous orders from all over the world. Machines from WINTERSTEIGER are used to achieve the creative solutions for interior spaces.

Am 22. Oktober wurde im Wiener Museumsquartier zum 38. Mal der Staatspreis „Design 2009“ verliehen. Vor mehreren hundert Gästen hat Staatssekretärin Christine Marek die heimische Kreativwirtschaft für ihre Leistungen gewürdigt. Die Auszeichnung Staatspreis 2009 wird in insgesamt drei unterschiedlichen Kategorien vergeben. Wintersteiger wurde in der Kategorie „Produktgestaltung Investitionsgüter“ nominiert und erreichte damit einen Platz unter den besten Sechs.

Ried/I. 80 sports dealers from Austria, Germany and South Tyrol took up the invitation to the 7th Wintersteiger Golf Trophy on 25 September 2009 in the beautiful Kobernausserwald. The golfers were able to demonstrate their ability under perfect weather conditions - along with fame and glory there were also valuable prizes to be won.

Ried. Die Wintersteiger AG, Spezialist im Ski- und Snowboardservice-Bereich, ermöglicht praxisorientierte Fortbildung für die Mitarbeiter ihrer Kunden – vom Werkstättenleiter bis zum Wiedereinsteiger.

Ried. Mit der Bründl-Gruppe hat sich ein führender Partner im Wintersportbereich für die Easyrent Verleih- und Warenwirtschaftsoftware der Wintersteiger AG entschieden. Die Bründl-Gruppe (www.bruendl.at) umfasst 16 Standorte in prominenten Wintersport-Hotspots wie Kaprun, Zell am See, Ischgl und Mayrhofen und ist immer wieder Trendsetter im Sportfachhandel und Verleih. Das Easyrent-System von Wintersteiger wird auf über 120 Arbeitsplätzen der Bründl-Gruppe eingerichtet werden. Die Installation erfolgt in zwei Phasen: Bereits noch in diesem Jahr wird die Filiale in Mayrhofen auf Easyrent umgestellt, 2010 folgen die Bründl-Filialen in Kaprun, Zell am See und Ischgl. Darüber hinaus wird beim Standort Intersport Hausberger in Mayrhofen zukünftig das Easystore-System von Wintersteiger eingesetzt, das Verleih-, Depot- und Trocknungseinheiten umfasst.

Ried. Vom 24. – 26. August fand die zweite Service- und Verleihfachmesse in der Wintersteiger Zentrale in Ried/Innkreis statt. Auf einer Ausstellungsfläche von 500 m2 präsentierte der Marktführer sein gesamtes Produktprogramm für Skiservice und Verleih. Knapp 200 Fachhändler aus Österreich, Deutschland, Italien und der Schweiz informierten sich über die Produktneuheiten und konnten bei einer Firmenführung die Fertigung der Produkte von der Entwicklung über die Produktion bis hin zur Montage live mitverfolgen.

Ried/Reichersberg. As part of the “Company & Field Days” customer event held from 30 June to 2 July, the market leader in the mechanisation of field experimentation extended an invitation to its company headquarters in Ried im Innkreis/Upper Austria. Numerous national and international customers accepted the invitation and were able to see Wintersteiger and its products for themselves. The visitors included customers from Uruguay, South Africa, China and Russia. However, the majority of customers came from Central Europe.

Visitors to the LIGNA in Hanover (18-22 May 2009) will have the chance to experience several highlights at the booth of Austria’s special machines manufacturer Wintersteiger (Hall 12 – Stand E46). The global market leader in thin-cutting technology will showcase its new thin-cutting band saw DSB Singlehead, an automated DSB Twinhead system, the 6-lamella concept for maximum wood yield and saws from its own development and production.

We were sad to hear the news about our majority shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Directors who died suddenly and unexpectedly on 25 February 2009, a few days before his 85th birthday.

Instead of spending money on Christmas presents for customers, Wintersteiger, the special machine constructor from Ried in Austria, recently donated a sum of EUR 7,500 to the aid organisation KINDERNOTHILFE.
